Open Source Policy
To facilitate the transfer of OPERA technologies to the local industry, we adopted an open source policy where both binary and source code for the finished system components will be made publicly available. Additionally, to further enhance early feedback and technology dissemination, we welcome local companies and organizations to join our industry partnership programmers.

Industry Partnership Programmes

Hong Kong CyberLibrary (HKCL)
HKCL is the industry partnership programme designed for Multimedia Content Providers (MCP). The aim of this programme is to disseminate tools and technologies to enhance the authoring and composition of multimedia contents for delivery Internet.

Service Provider Consortium (SPC)
SPC is the industry partnership programme designed for Internet Services Providers (ISP). The aim of this programme is to allow local ISPs to have early-access to the OPERA technologies. This enables to integrate the OPERA technologies into their network and application infrastructure to progressively adsorb the technologies and to steer the project's future developments.
